A nice experience is what we live with Manuela, on the walk to the Mountain of Colors.
We leave at 5:00 in the morning. An hour and a half later, we had breakfast in the town of Cusipata.
Then we go to the place where all the vehicles park. From ther we started the walk.
The environment is really cozy, in the background the mountains that were once completely covered in snow.
Along with us many people are encouraged to leave. There is a hubbub and enthusiasm.
At the same time, local people are preparing and invite us to climb the mountain on horseback. This will repeat itself along the way.
A lady who carries her baby, pulls a horse with a friend from Ecuador, who is afraid that the horse will go by the side of the road. Wei accompany oruselves to a certain part.
Further on, we see the destination, the rainbow mountain, and on our right the red valley, a set of mountains that are an option for those who have a better physical condition.
Later, we use the bathrooms. We continue and the road becomes steeper.
We opted to take a horse to overcome this small stretch.
At the end of the last part, even steeper, we reached Vinicunca. We are all excited, it is cold but it is not important now.
We enjoy the view, the fog covers part of the landscape but very soon it clears and we see on the opposite side the beautiful snow of Ausangate. The highest mountain in the Cusco region.
Without a doubt it has been a beautiful experience. I enjoyed it as if it were the first time.
